You are responsible for security in the cloud (your app). The API itself might be perfectly secure, but if your app's database is leaky, your user authentication is weak, or you aren't logging who views what, you are violating HIPAA, not the AI vendor. Building a secure architecture requires a completely different skill set than just prompting an AI to write a Python script.
Myth 3: "My AI tool is HIPAA certified."
